From 67 investigators that form the DHC Research Base, 15 have research programs in Chronic Liver Disease, with emphasis on molecular mechanisms of liver injury and regeneration/repair, molecular basis of cholestasis, and clinical trials of cholestatic liver disease and viral hepatitis. They form a highly collaborative theme whose investigative programs use the research laboratory, examine the validity of findings in patient samples, and conduct clinical trials, as depicted in the figure at the right.
