Steps to Digestive Health

DHC Investigators and Associate Members are faculty who have research programs with a digestive disease element. The DHC members are organized into four different themes.  Several members have interest areas that overlap more than one thematic focus area of the DHC but for clarity are listed only once. 

Our four themes are:

  1. Chronic Liver Disease
    • Biliary atresia
    • Chronic cholestasis
  2. Digestive Organ (liver and intestinal) Failure and Transplantation
    • Liver and intestinal failure (short gut syndrome)
    • Liver and intestinal transplantation
  3. Inflammatory and Diarrheal Diseases
    • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
    • Eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders (EGIDs)
    • Infectious diarrhea
  4. Obesity
    • Overweight
    • Metabolic complications of obesity

Our Core Directors also have their own active research programs.
