Adaptive Care Team (ACT)
It can be very difficult for children with developmental and behavioral challenges to understand and cope with their healthcare appointments. The Adaptive Care Team (ACT) partners with the family and other healthcare members to prepare and plan supportive strategies to meet their individual needs.
Our staff work with the family to develop individualized care plans that may include tours, play sessions, customized stories, photos, films, visual schedules and a variety of other innovative approaches and coping strategies. The healthcare visit becomes a more positive experience for all.
