The goal of the Cincinnati Cervical Cancer Prevention Coalition is to coordinate and improve cervical cancer prevention efforts in Cincinnati. The coalition seeks to educate teens, parents, other adults and clinicians about prevention of cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases. In addition to providing information from national resources, the coalition also provides local information on diagnostic, screening, treatment and payment options.
The Cincinnati Cervical Cancer Prevention Coalition is funded by a grant from Fleet Feet Sports. Proceeds from the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Fleet Feet Lady Distance Classic, an annual women- only race in Blue Ash, OH, were donated to the Division of Adolescent and Transition Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s to make the coalition possible.
