  • Hearts and Health Run / Walk

    Join Us for the 2nd Annual Hearts and Health Run / Walk to Fight Obesity in Cincinnati on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013

    Help make Greater Cincinnati a place filled with healthy kids who eat right and stay active by participating in the 2nd Annual Hearts and Health Run / Walk benefitting HealthWorks! Camps Out, Cincinnati Children’s camp for overweight and obese children. The route includes a scenic loop around the lake at beautiful Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio where runners and walkers can participate in the 5K, 6-hour run/relay, or Family Fun Run. Join us for a day full day of healthful entertainment, activity and eating!

    Participate in any of the following:

    • 5 km Run
    • 6-hour Run or Relay (Relay limit 6 people)
    • Family Fun Run for 1.4 miles

    **Walkers are welcome at any event**

    • 5K begins at 9AM
    • 6-Hour Run and Relay begins at 9AM
    • Family Fun Run/Walk begins at 10AM

    Registration Fee:

    • 5K Run-$25 per person
    • 6 Hour Run-$50 per person
    • 6 Hour Relay (6 person max)-$25 per person
    • Family Fun Run-FREE or $10 with T-Shirt
    • Girls on the Run Participants-$5

    RACE RULES

    No Strollers or Pets please

    5K Rules

    • This is a timed individual event.

    • Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome.

    • Special awards will be given to the top Male and Female finishers.

    • Race packets and other information can be picked up the morning of the event.

    6-Hour Rules

    Individual rules

    • Runners and walkers, ages 16 and older, are welcome to participate.
    • Individual Male/ Female winners will be awarded for the greatest distance traveled in the allotted time frame allowed.
    • Race packets can be picked up the morning of the event.

    Team Relay Rules

    • To sign up for the relay, each member must enter their team name during registration to be grouped together.
    • This event welcomes all walkers and runners. However individuals under the age of 16 will be limited to 1 hour of participation.
    • Teams will be limited to 2 to 6 runners
    • The runners can participate in any order, for any distance, and as many times as they wish throughout the 6 hour time period.
    • Special accommodations may be made for larger relay teams.  However these teams are not eligible for the official “relay” competition.
    • The winning relay team will have traveled the greatest distance during the allotted time frame.
    • Special awards will be given to the winning relay team.
