The Immunopathology Laboratory (IPL) provides state-of-the-art flow cytometry-based clinical testing for the diagnosis and management of oncologic and hematologic malignancies and other disorders in pediatric and adult patients.
We contribute to improved outcomes of clinical programs of the Cancer & Blood Diseases Institute, Cincinnati Children’s and clinical programs beyond our medical center through our education efforts, laboratory expertise and clinical research.

The Immunopathology Laboratory (IPL) is now serving as one of only 14 laboratories in the United States approved to perform the COG protocol for minimum residual disease testing for B-ALL.
Our laboratory also offers testing for paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH with CD59 / FLAER).
