    Study Overview

The Cincinnati Home Injury Prevention (CHIP) and Literacy Promotion Study seeks to promote childhood literacy and reduce injuries in the homes of young children. We examine potential home injury hazards and test ways to make homes safer. The CHIP Study supports childhood literacy by providing families with developmentally appropriate books and educating parents about the importance of reading to their child. CHIP Study data collection is completed and data is currently being analyzed. Study findings and publications will be posted to this website once available.

The CHIP Study is funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Development (NICHD).
