    The clinical laboratories at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center provide answers to professionals’ frequent questions.

    Is consultation available?

    For both core and subspecialty laboratory tests, the Cincinnati Children’s  clinical laboratories staff members are available for consultation and assistance in interpreting test results and advising on test ordering and follow-up tests or procedures.

    Will insurance cover the cost?

    Be sure to check with the insurance company  before testing.

    Where can I have my child’s blood drawn?

    Specimen collection is available at our Test Referral Center on our main campus at 3333 Burnet Ave. or at one of our outpatient facilities.

    How quickly can I get results?

    The clinical laboratories at Cincinnati Children’s are open 24 hours daily, seven days a week. The laboratories provide rapid turnaround on test results, courier service and electronic delivery of reports.

    Whom do I call to obtain my child’s results?

    When your child’s test results become available, the ordering physician will be notified and he or she should contact you.
