  • Specialized Care for Complex Colorectal Conditions

    Alberto Peña, MD, founding director of the Colorectal Center for Children, and Marc Levitt, MD, director, have worked together for more than 15 years caring for children with colorectal conditions, including anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung’s disease, fecal incontinence, idiopathic constipation and other colorectal disorders. Defects of the colon, rectum and anus occur during fetal development and affect as many as one in 4,000 babies. The physician, along with the interdisciplinary team, creates an individualized plan for each patient that is based off diagnosis, medical history, diagnostic testing and clinical evaluation.
