    The Center for Simulation and Research offers the following American Heart Association Certification courses:

    The course presents information and skills needed for management of seriously ill or injured pediatric patients.  Small group teaching is emphasized.   Use of the human patient simulator is included in this course.

    This course presents information and skill training needed for the management of serious cardiac emergencies and arrest in the adult patient.  Small group teaching is emphasized.   Use of the human patient simulator is included.

    Registrants must be physicians, nurses, paramedics or other healthcare personnel whose occupation requires managing the adult patient in ACLS skills.  All registrants should be proficient in BLS, and it is strongly recommended that participants be knowledgeable in EKG interpretation.

    The format of these courses has been changed to an online didactic training with a four-hour skills and testing session.
