Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati

Call 1-888-FETAL-59 (1-888-338-2559) to schedule an appointment. You do not have to be referred to us by your physician, although your insurance provider may require a referral. A patient relations representative will take your call and request basic information such as your name, address, due date and the name of your referring physician.

A nurse coordinator at Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati will speak with you to gather information about your diagnosis. This conversation allows us to confirm that the center is the right place for evaluating and treating you and your baby. Afterward, we will schedule your appointments and communicate with you about next steps, including mailing a packet with your itinerary of diagnostic tests.

Your initial visit to the center will involve a full day of diagnostic testing and evaluation. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member. You will be seen by a pediatric fetal surgeon, a maternal-fetal specialist and other specialists as required.
 
After we have completed the necessary diagnostic tests, the fetal team will meet with you to explain the results, prognosis and collaborative plan with your referring physician and the effect the condition and treatment will have on the delivery. We will recommend a delivery plan, a newborn care plan and explain near- and long-term outcomes.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive counseling from our professionals on staff.

It is ultimately your decision to obtain treatment at the Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati and what form that treatment should take. We will provide you and your family with the information you need to make an informed decision about your next steps and treatment. Most conditions are best treated after the baby is born, but in rare circumstances, fetal surgery may be considered for life-threatening conditions.
