Finding the right care for a high-risk infant can seem overwhelming. We work to make it easier for you. Working closely with primary care physicians, our team evaluates your baby and manages her care. She might have developmental issues, require supplemental oxygen therapy or need specialty care for other medical problems. We coordinate access to all the specialists your child needs.
By evaluating what your baby needs and providing expert care for him, we ensure that your child gets the right care from the start, helping him to reach his full potential.
Our multidisciplinary team includes:
In the High-Risk Follow-Up Clinic, your baby might be seen by a neonatal fellow. These are highly skilled physicians who are receiving advanced neonatal training under the supervision of our expert senior physicians. They might have cared for your baby while she was in the NICU. By also working in the High-Risk Follow-Up Clinic, our neonatal fellows have the opportunity to follow their patients as they “graduate” into the outpatient setting.
The use of fellows in our program benefits your child and helps us train the next generation of expert physicians. The doctors learn the best ways to care for children who have complex medical needs in an outpatient setting. They also monitor your child’s development and can help you maximize access to services and care.
