    Travel Information

    • Adoption Travel provides country-specific travel information, travel tips, travel resources and a bookstore.
    • Centers For Disease Control provides reference information for international travel including geographic health recommendations, disease outbreaks, vaccine recommendations and food and water precautions.
    • US State Department Bureau of Consular Affairs provides information for persons traveling abroad, including travel warnings, international adoption information, passport information, travel health and other travel publications.

    • Adoption Book Catalog: Tapestry Books offers information on more than 300 books on adoption, infertility and parenting challenges.

    • Miracles of Adoption provides adoption announcements, greeting cards and adoption gifts.

    • Rainbow Kids, an online magazine for parents of internationally adopted children, features stories, process updates and information on adopting children from all over the world.

    The Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center International Adoption Center (IAC) suggests the following programs for families or prospective parents.

    • Supporting Adoptive Families Effectively (SAFE) − Sponsored by Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley, Dayton, OH, SAFE is a program designed to treat children and to educate and help families parenting children who suffer from reactive attachment disorder.     • Elementary Chinese − The University of Cincinnati (UC) offers courses in elementary Chinese from 6:40-9:20 pm on Wednesdays that are worth three credit hours. For more information, call the University of Cincinnati Foreign Language Department at 513-745-5645. Spanish, Russian and English as a second language classes are also offered. Contact UC for more information.
