The James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence is dedicated to sharing its expertise and knowledge. In collaboration with the Center for Professional Excellence and the Pratt Library, these resources have been developed and made available. Below are best evidence statements developed for different clinical areas.
The scope of a BESt is smaller than a clinical practice guideline. A BESt contains clinical recommendations based on best evidence on a limited topic or single clinical question. The BESt depends more on synthesized evidence, such as published guidelines and other systematic reviews when available, than on primary research.
