Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy
The James M. Anderson Center for Health Systems Excellence at Cincinnati Children's is dedicated to sharing its expertise and knowledge.
Our pediatric evidence-based care guidelines and best evidence statements (BESt) at Cincinnati Children's are developed by experts, patients and families to help pediatricians provide the best possible care to patients. Our evidence-based care guidelines and BESts are based on the best available evidence and expert opinion.
The scope of a BESt is smaller than a clinical practice guideline. A BESt contains clinical recommendation based on best evidence on a limited topic or single clinical question. The BESt depends more on synthesized evidence, such as published guidelines and other systematic reviews when available, than on primary research.
