Health Services Research

Within the Anderson Center, we believe that optimizing the integration of research and improvement will accelerate the application of discoveries into care and policy and result in entirely new and better systems for healthcare delivery. Health services research is the multidisciplinary field of scientific investigation that studies how social factors, organizational structures and processes, health technologies and personal behaviors affect access to healthcare, the quality and cost of healthcare, and ultimately, health and well-being. Our institution is uniquely positioned to make important contributions to the field because of our innovative care delivery system, institutional investments in translational research and our growing emphasis on transforming evidence into practice and policy.
