Fetal Evaluation, Diagnosis and Treatment
The Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati, located at Cincinnati Children’s, provides the complete range of services for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies − everything from prenatal diagnosis and treatment to delivery, postnatal care and long-term follow-up.
The center’s experienced team is led by fetal surgeons and maternal-fetal medicine specialists (obstetrician / gynecologists with special training in high-risk pregnancies). Depending on the situation, other care professionals may be involved. Such specialists can include those from neonatology, genetics and cardiac surgery, among others.
Preparing for Delivery and Beyond
The Fetal Care Center is a collaboration between Cincinnati Children’s, Good Samaritan Hospital and University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Each is equipped with a Level III newborn intensive care unit, where newborns can receive specialized ongoing care. The team − including specialists from the Fetal Care Center, maternal-fetal medicine specialists from University Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital and neonatologists from Cincinnati Children’s − collaborates to ensure that babies receive the best care possible.
