Specialized Acute Inpatient Treatment Program
P3Southwest (P3SW) is organized around experiential programming providing structure and positive reinforcement for children and adolescents, while closely monitoring individual progress. A variety of therapeutic, visual and sensory equipment is used to help calm and self-regulate a youth while in crisis including:
- Visual schedules
- Speech-language communication equipment, alternative augmentative communication (AAC)
- Sensory room
P3SW is designed to meet the special needs of our patients, while maintaining an “at home” feel in bedrooms and common areas. The majority of our bedrooms are private occupancy and include individual baths to allow for parents or caregivers to stay overnight with their child. Children and adolescents are also encouraged to bring bedding and additional personal items to help ease the transition of an inpatient stay.
