Expert Diagnosis and Treatment
If you have been told or suspect that your child has Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome (RTS), you have come to the right place. We are one of the country’s leading programs for the care of children with RTS. We provide expert confirmation of diagnosis as well as the latest treatments and support.
Every Child is Unique
RTS is different for each child. While all children with RTS experience developmental delays and many have medical problems, these vary greatly with each child. There is no one approach that works for every child.
Our program is located in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
What We Offer
Our services and support include:
- Confirming the RTS diagnosis
- Offering best-practice treatments
- Conducting educational outreach
- Family support and networking
Support for You and Your Family
We provide a continuum of care for individuals with RTS and their families from clinical care to newsletters, library services and support group connections. We publish a quarterly newsletter (RTS News) for families living with Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome that focuses on supporting families and sharing information. Most current published RTS articles are available through the Rubinstein Library as are many of the older published articles.
We understand that RTS can be challenging for the whole family. Our program collaborates with family support groups, resources, and parent-to-parent networks, such as:
- Regional RTS-OKI (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana), and hosts its quarterly meetings. This group is free to any child or individual who has Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (RTS), and their family members and caregivers.
