    When to Use a Dietitian

    A dietitian can help with the following:

    • Weight Management for an injured athlete
    • Weight Management for a healthy athlete
    • Athlete trying to make a weight limit
    • Screening for an eating disorder
    • Educating athletes on hydration
    • Educating athletes on the pros and cons of supplements
    • Educating athletes on individual nutrient needs for optimal athletic performance
    • Educating the athlete, parents and coaches on nutritional needs for training, pre competition, during competition and post competition.
    • Educating families on healthy ways “to eat on the run”

    Nutrition Counseling Office Visit

    During office visits, patients will receive the following:

    • Dietary Assessment by a licensed, registered dietitian
    • Long and short term goal setting
    • Develop an individualized diet plan for the patient
    • Information and guidelines for “eating on the run”
    • Recipes and sample menu plans can be provided
