Expert Care for Children with Blood Clots and Thrombotic Disorders

National Expertise That Families Trust

Cincinnati Children’s is consistently recognized as one of the best children’s hospitals in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report. Families trust our experience, whole-child approach, and strong outcomes.

Advanced Testing and Innovative Treatments

Children seen in our program have access to specialized hemostasis and thrombosis testing that many hospitals cannot offer. This testing helps us diagnose clotting conditions with accuracy and guide the safest treatment plan.

We also offer catheter‑directed thrombolysis when appropriate—a minimally invasive option that can help dissolve clots more quickly.

Team-Based, Whole-Child Care

Your child’s care team may include hematologists, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, physical therapists, and nutrition experts. This team‑based approach helps us understand every aspect of your child’s health.

Families also partner with a dedicated nurse coordinator who checks in regularly, manages anticoagulation support, answers questions, and helps schedule additional visits.

Convenient Access and Urgent Appointments

We offer clinic time every day, and we can see children urgently when needed. Telehealth visits are available for counseling and follow‑up in many situations, helping families stay connected to our team.

Support for Your Child and Family

We value parent feedback and use it to improve your child’s experience. Families describe our team as responsive, caring, and committed to clear communication. We guide families through every step, helping you feel confident and supported throughout the journey.
