We specialize in diagnosing and treating children, adolescents and adults with symptoms of Tourette’s syndrome and tic (repetitive behavior) disorders. These conditions are highly disruptive to a child’s life and are frequently misunderstood by others. They can harm a child’s relationships with friends and family, interfere with school or work and even pose harm to children who have severe episodes.
What makes these disorders so troublesome is that they often occur in tandem with conditions such as obsessive compulsive disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Our experts can help. We have extensive experience working with children and adults with these complex health problems and in helping manage them.
The Neurology Division at Cincinnati Children’s offers a Tourette Syndrome and Movement Disorders Fellowship. It's a one-year clinical and research fellowship to train child neurologists in this subspecialty.
