Continuing Education
Community Services include continuing education workshops and staff trainings for large and small groups of professionals who work with teens.
Community Services sponsors community-wide workshops with continuing education credits for nurses, social workers, school counselors, physicians, and teachers.
Workshops have been on the following topics:
- Teen Self-Injury
- Teen Substance Abuse
- Eating Disorders
- Teen Anxiety

Download a brochure for "Mood Disorders in Teens," a workshop presented by the Division of Adolescent Medicine and the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, will be held on May 5, 2009 from 7:15 am to 5:15 pm in the MERC Auditorium at the Oak Campus of Cincinnati Children's. In addition to the credits listed in the brochure, the program has been approved for 7.25 continuing education credit hours for psychologists
Community Services also conducts small group, agency specific staff training on location.
Staff trainings cover the following topics:
- Normal adolescent development
Recognition and referral for teen mental health issues such as:
- ADHD
- Depression
- Bi-Polar Disorder
- Eating Disorders
