Advocacy Programs
The Department of Anesthesia at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is pleased to be involved in the Recycling Equipment at Children's Hospital (REACH) program.
REACH recovers medical supplies and equipment from the operating room and throughout the hospital that would otherwise be discarded. These supplies are then shipped with financial aid from charitable organizations to developing countries to improve the medical care of children in those countries. The Department of Anesthesia is also pleased to have members who participate in medical missionary work with groups such as Interplast to developing countries including Philippines, Belize, Peru, and Guatemala.
