Bio
Becky Blacklidge, CRNA, MSN, has worked as a pediatric nurse since graduating from the University of Cincinnati's BSN program in 1986. Ms. Blacklidge went back for the masters program specializing in anesthesia from 1991-1993. Upon completion of the program she was employed by Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as a staff nurse anesthetist.
Ms. Blacklidge has had many different positions in the Department of Anesthesia includeing CRNA Director, Director for Student Rotators, and most recently Quality Improvement Initiative and Patient Safety. She has lead the anesthesia aspect of reducing surgical site infection in the OR. She is also involved in the implementation of the electronic OR / Anesthesia record. She also had been working on monitoring pain in the PACU by quarterly surverys and reviews. Ms. Blacklidge has given many State Association Meeting Lectures on Pediatric Brain Trauma and Pediatric Airway Management.
