Bio
A staff member of the Division of Audiology at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati, Lori A. Garland, MS, CCC-A, performs comprehensive audiologic evaluations on infants and children, including Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) evaluation, Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) testing, hearing aid evaluation, fitting and dispensing. Her duties also include the supervision of Audiology intern students and mentoring new staff.
Lori has participated in community outreach programs, which include an educational workshop for area pediatricians, sponsored by the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Otolaryngology Department and an exhibit presented at the Annual School Nurse Workshop. Other activities include involvement in the Customer Service Task Force at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
Lori has promoted greater awareness of hearing loss through hospital newsletters and local newspaper articles spotlighting patients with hearing loss. Lori has offered a variety of activities available to hospital employees and the public during May Better Hearing and Speech Month.
