Clinical Care Services

Clinical Psychology Specialty Programs

In addition to our outpatient therapy services, there are a number of specialty programs offered by the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center within the Clinical Psychology Program:

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Program
Children are referred to the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Program for a comprehensive evaluation and assistance with medical and behavioral management of attention problems.
  • Neuropsychology Program
    Psychologist: Marsha Nortz, PhD
Children are referred to the Neuropsychology Program at Cincinnati Children's for neurologically based cognitive and behavior problems. The team helps children with neurological disorders to learn, grow and reach their highest potential.
  • Behavior Therapy Groups
Behavior Therapy Groups consist of six weekly sessions and focus on the behavioral treatment of children with ADHD ages six to 12 years.
  • Psychological Evaluations
The Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology is equipped to conduct psychological evaluations of children and adolescents for a variety of reasons. Children are often referred for testing to determine levels of functioning, areas of strengths and weaknesses, and styles of learning and processing information. This testing is useful for diagnostic purposes, treatment planning, and offering recommendations for home and school. Insurance coverage for psychological testing varies from plan to plan, but our support staff will assist you in learning about your benefits and coverage. Often, testing for a specific learning disability is NOT covered by insurance.
  • Biofeedback
Biofeedback is a tool that can help your child alleviate pain or other physical symptoms that are exacerbated by stress, anxiety or tension.
