Registered Nurse for 12 years currently with the Brachial Plexus Center. Responsibilities include coordinating the nursing care of all of our patients both in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to coming to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, practiced as a registered nurse in adult health at a Level 1 Trauma Center, University Hospital in Cincinnati. Specialized in caring for post-surgical patients including trauma, orthopaedic, burn victims, general surgery patients, and critically ill patients. In 2006, became a nurse educator and coordinator of a critical care internship program which trained nurses who were new to critical care areas and the emergency room. Also became an assistant coordinator to a new graduate nurse program which provided pre-board assistance to new grads. From 2000 to 2006, worked in multiple intensive care units throughout the tri-state area. Areas of practice included medical, surgical, trauma, burns and cardiac intensive care units. Prior to caring for the critically ill, practiced on a trauma/orthopaedic/general surgery floor.
