Experts Specializing in Cancer’s Late Effects

The ATP 5+ Cancer Survivor Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center has a large, experienced team of specialists who are dedicated to caring for childhood cancer survivors and conducting research on their behalf.

Karen C. Burns, MD, MS, serves as the director of the Cancer Survivor Center clinic at Cincinnati Children’s. Rajaram Nagarajan, MD, MS, serves as director of the Cancer Control and Outcomes Research Initiative at Cincinnati Children’s. Both Drs. Burns and Nagarajan are pediatric oncologists with focused expertise and research in the late effects of cancer treatment.

The team also includes Margie Gerena-Lewis, MD, an adult oncologist on staff at University Hospital in Cincinnati. Her unique perspective helps patients understand how childhood cancer and its treatment can affect them throughout the aging process.
