Why Refer to Us?

At the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, our physicians, nurses and other clinical staff work collaboratively to provide the most effective treatment options for children with cancer, blood diseases and immune deficiency disorders.

Each year, we care for more than 3,500 children and adolescents. Last year we had more than 15,000 outpatient visits and 1,300 inpatient admissions, and performed more than 90 blood and marrow transplants. Our facilities are designed to meet the needs of children and their families, allowing us to provide advanced diagnostic tests and therapies in a warm, friendly environment that encourages parental involvement in the decision-making process. We keep in close communication with referring physicians to ensure coordinated care.
