Comprehensive Follow-up Care for Pediatric Cancer Patients
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center was one of the first pediatric hospitals to develop a long-term follow-up program in the United States, and 2008 will mark the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Long Term Follow- Up Program's 20th Anniversary. Beatrice C. Lampkin, MD, recognized the need for long term care and founded the program in 1988.
Focus of Long Term Follow-Up Program
The focus of the Long Term Follow-Up Program is to provide state of the art multidisciplinary care for the cancer survivor, including those who received chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and / or surgery. Highlights of our care include comprehensive endocrine care, rehabilitation follow up and preventive care initiatives. Cancer genetics counseling is also available through this clinic. Our outpatient services provide a continuum of care through adult life.
