• Dr. Bones and his sidekick Skelly the Skeleton visited patients and families to teach them about health and nutrition.
• Roger Bingham, former Survivor: The Australian Outback contestant, visited patients and families.
• Sesame Street Live's Elmo and Cookie Monster visited patients and families.
• Kentucky ProCats players visited patients and families.
• On its way to Salt Lake City, Utah, for the 2002 winter Olympics, the Olympic torched made a stop at Cincinnati Children's.
• Members of the rock band Journey visited patients and families.
• Child Life hosted "Operation PaintFest" where patients, hospital staff, and volunteers collaborated to paint murals on the walls of Cincinnati Children's.
• Five patients at Cincinnati Children's enjoyed a day with *N Sync.
