Journey Visit
Members of the legendary arena rock band Journey took a break from their Arrival 2001 World Tour to visit patients and families at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati as a part of their commitment to the Bright Star Foundation on July 15, 2001.
Journey's official charity, The Bright Star Foundation, is a nonprofit organization that matches celebrities and charities with mutual interests, allowing busy entertainers to raise awareness and funding for their favorite causes.
"We are so fortunate that the Bright Star Foundation affords us the opportunity to reach out to different children's charities in every stop along our tour," said Journey guitarist and founding member, Neal Schon.
Journey is one of the most successful bands in American music history, selling in excess of 60 million albums worldwide. Known for radio hits including "Don't Stop Believin'," "Open Arms," and "Faithfully."
"We're thrilled that the band members have taken time out of their busy schedule to visit children and families who are not able to attend the concert," says Sharon McLeod, Director of Child Life.
