Complex Anorectal Defects
As part of the spectrum of anorectal defects seen and treated by the Colorectal Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, the surgeon may encounter bizarre cases with complex anatomy. Each one represents a peculiar challenge and will require a great deal of ingenuity and imagination in order to reconstruct them.
The posterior sagittal approach has proved to be useful as the initial approach to these types of patients. Representative cases of this type of pathology will be shown here.
