Referrals
Our specialists at the Colorectal Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center partner with referring physicians in making medical decisions. In addition to receiving encounter reports, you are welcome to consult with our physicians by phone and are invited to participate in our many educational opportunities.
Our surgeons are available to consult with physicians by phone about treatment options or to help decide if a patient's condition requires a visit to the Colorectal Center.
Policies
- You will receive follow-up reports after your patient is seen.
- Patients with urgent problems are seen immediately.
- New patients are usually seen by a doctor within one to two months.
- Our team will regularly communicate with you and your patient's family.
- Our specialists partner with you as a referring physician and your patient's family in making medical decisions.

International Physicians
You can download an international patient referral form in portable document format (.pdf). Completed referral forms should be faxed or emailed to Cincinnati Children's International Patient Care and Education. Fax 513-803-0903 or email international@cchmc.org.
After submitting this form, please be prepared to send the child’s complete medical records translated into English.
