Overview
At Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, the Clinical Neuropharmacology Laboratory was developed in order to expand the clinical and research capabilities of child neurology in the Department of Pediatrics. This laboratory is staffed by a neuropharmacologist and a full-time technician, and offers state-of-the-art analytical testing, including many antiepileptic drugs, which are not commonly available in hospital laboratories.
The Clinical Neuropharmacology Laboratory is currently focusing upon the discovery of new methods for monitoring and dosing antiepileptic drugs in infants and children to provide maximum benefits with fewest undesirable effects.
