Special Education Resources Overview
The education system can be challenging for the parent of a child with special health care needs. Negotiating the maze of special education supports and knowing how, why and when to advocate for early intervention services, an IEP or a 504 plan requires that you become knowledgeable about special education laws and your child's rights. When families, educators, health care providers and support agencies work together, every individual with a disability can maximize his / her potential to participate in schools, work and community life.
