Overview

The Chronic Ventilation Program staff at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center evaluate and manage children with chronic respiratory failure secondary to chronic lung disease, as well as respiratory muscle weakness, such as muscle atrophy, muscular dystrophies and various myopathies.
The Chronic Ventilation Program consists of two components:
- Inpatient Section Utilizing the Transitional Care Center: an eight-bed unit, designed to manage technology-dependent patients at Cincinnati Children's
- Outpatient Section Ventilator Clinic: A multi-disciplinary clinic dedicated to ventilator dependent patients.
The Chronic Ventilation Program is located in Location C.5 in Treatment Center Nine.
Operating Hours
The Chronic Ventilation Program is open during the second and third Tuesday of each month, from 1 pm to 4:30 pm.
