Bio
Shannon Haury is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with the Diabetes Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Her goal is to improve the health of children with diabetes by working to understand the mind-body connection in children with diabetes mellitus. Before coming to Cincinnati Children's, she studied at Yale University where she focused on the care of children with chronic illness. In addition to completing her Master's thesis, Family Functioning and Self-Efficacy in Children with Type 1 Diabetes, she also gained clinical experience at the Yale University Pediatric Diabetes Center as well pioneered the role of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Joslin Clinic in Boston.
