Fellowships and Residencies

The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics offers two residency programs at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as well as one fellowship program.

Interdisciplinary Preservice Training Program

The purpose of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics' Interdisciplinary Preservice Training Program is to expand, through university-based interdisciplinary preservice training, the pool of professionals who can:

  • Provide leadership at the national, state, and local levels in the field of neurodevelopmental disabilities/developmental disabilities
  • Provide quality services and supports for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities/developmental disabilities and their families
  • Achieve systems change
  • Facilitate empowerment of individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities/developmental disabilities of all ages

An interdisciplinary team of experienced medical / health-related and behavioral / educational faculty provide: intensive interdisciplinary clinical, experiential and didactic leadership experiences as part of a Maternal and Child Health Interdisciplinary Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Project.

Target Groups -- Who Can Be Involved in the Program

Undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate level students can represent a wide variety of disciplines, including: adolescent medicine, audiology, dentistry, early childhood education, family medicine, genetic counseling, health administration, neurology, nursing, nursing/genetics, nutrition, occupational therapy, pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, physical therapy, psychiatry, psychology, resource development, social work, special education and speech pathology, as well as other related disciplines and specialities. A limited number of stipends are available.

Interdisciplinary Core Curriculum Training Sessions

A number of training sessions are available at Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics during the academic year. These sessions are offered as part of the Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics pre-service students and are open to other interested individuals. There is no cost to attend. To pre-register, please call: 513-636-4618. Continuing education unit credits are not available.

All sessions are held from 1 p.m. to 3 pm, in Room 4-78 (fourth floor) of Location E (Pavilion Building), 3333 Burnet Avenue, Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati. Parking is available in the visitor parking area off of Burnet Ave.
