The Drug and Poison Information Center (DPIC) at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati has changed its telephone number. Effective July 1, 2001, a new toll-free national number, 1-800-222-1222, is in effect for emergency poison control services. This number has replaced 1-800-872-5111.
The new national number for poison control is designed to further increase access and awareness of our invaluable services. When calling 1-800-222-1222, you will be automatically connected to the appropriate poison control center for your region. This way you won't have to worry about learning a new 800 number if you move!
The Cincinnati Drug and Poison Information Center can still be reached through the local telephone number atl 513-636-5111.
