Drug and Poison Information Center / DPIC

Overview

The Cincinnati Drug and Poison Information Center (DPIC) at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center is a 24-hour emergency and technical information telephone service for anyone with concerns involving poison or drugs.

The Drug and Poison Information Center's specially trained staff of pharmacists, pharmacologists and nurses answer questions about poisonings, drug abuse, product contents, substance identification interactions and adverse reactions.

The Drug and Poison Information Center also works to provide you with important poison prevention information.

Please print the Emergency Actions for Poisoning and hang them on your refrigerator or near a telephone, where it is available and visible to family members.

Also, take a look at new Safety House created by Cincinnati Children's. It was built in conjunction with the Cincinnati Safe Kids Coalition to inform families how to prevent poisonings and injuries in the home.
