Bio

Dr Babcock Cimpello joined the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s in 2009. She has an extensive academic portfolio that includes numerous clinical, teaching, administrative, and research pursuits. During her tenure at the University of Rochester from 2001 to 2009, she was the PEM Fellowship Director, the Co-Director of Injury Free Coalition for Kids (IFCK) of Rochester and the Site Principal Investigator for the Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN). As such, she contributes valuable creative solutions that aid in the administration of the PEM fellowship at Cincinnati Children's. She is also a sought after clinical teacher providing practical and up-to-date bedside teaching pearls in the emergency department.

And lastly, she is a valuable contributor to the fellows research experience. Her true scholarly passion is to make a difference in the outcome of children who sustain mild traumatic brain injuries. She is an avid and accomplished researcher in this field and openly shares her research experience and expertise with the fellows. She directs the Clinical Focus Research Group and directly oversees the fellows who participate in this group.
