Medical Services
To enhance patient care, Emergency Services at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provides care through many important services:
- The STATline Communications Center offers pre-hospital care providers (EMS squads) and referring hospitals and physicians a round-the-clock direct connection to pediatric emergency specialists.
- The After-Hours Urgent Care Service provides medical advice to patients through physician-designed protocols individualized to each practice by a nurse-call system.
- St. Elizabeth's South Medical Center Emergency Department is staffed by Emergency Services physicians from Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical during the busy evening hours. This effort is directed by Judith Bausher, MD.
