Mission
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center's Emergency Services includes three primary objectives in its mission:
- the delivery of exceptional care to all patients
- the education of health care providers in principles fostered by Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMS-C)
- the development of new knowledge and techniques based on sound clinical research; Our mission includes providing emergency care for all children within the hospital's service area and offering education and support for emergency crews in the field. Our department is an advocate for all children and also strives to enhance the professional growth of all of our staff
To achieve its mission, the goals set forth by Emergency Services are:
- to provide a high quality, efficient, and cost effective service to all children requiring emergency care at Cincinnati Children's and the regional community served
- to provide pediatric emergency education for patients, families, and health care providers
- to conduct focused research in pediatric emergency medicine
- to establish strong ties to our community as advocates for children's health
