From Trunk to Tale: Eddy's Travelin' Journal

The Cincinnati Center for Eosinophilic Disorders (CCED) at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provides patients and their family members with the opportunity to share their experiences living with an Eosinophilic Disorder. Eddy the Elephant has shared his story and patients will get to read more when Eddy travels with them. In the meantime, here's a sneak peek about Eddy and his journey from Africa to Cincinnati, Ohio.

Eddy's Story (a sneak peek)

Hello?... Who's there?

I'm so happy; they told me I would get to meet you. My name is Eddy the Elephant; my friends call me Traveling Eddy.

If you can't tell from my small tail, I am an elephant. What? You already knew that? Yeah, maybe my trunk gives me away.

I used to live in Africa, but now I live in Cincinnati, Ohio with my family and lots of friends. I want to meet more people like me.

What? You are not like me? Not an elephant? Oh well, we can still be friends, because we are alike in a very important way.

You might not be able to tell, but I have a disorder; it happens inside my body.

I have Eosinophilic Esophagitis; most people call it "EE" for short. I want to meet more people with Eosinophilic Disorders, like us.
