Evaluation of Eosinophil-Associated Gastrointestinal Disorders
The Cincinnati Center for Eosinophilic Disorders at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is currently conducting a clinical and immunological evaluation of eosinophil-associated gastrointestinal disorders. The purpose of this study is to conduct a translational study in patients with primary eosinophil-associated gastrointestinal disorders [EGID] with the aim of developing a databank containing pertinent patient demographic information, tissue samples and DNA. Eosinophil-associated gastrointestinal disorders [EGID] include:
- Eosinophilic esophagitis
- Eosinophilic gastritis
- Eosinophilic enteritis [EE]
- Eosinophilic colitis
- Eosinophilic gastroenteritis [EGE]
This information will facilitate research on the pathophysiology of inflammatory disorders and the development of a verified successful clinical treatment program.
