Every Child Succeeds

Overview

Every Child Succeeds is regional program designed to ensure an optimal start for children.

Every Child Succeeds is making a difference for families in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky through home visits that help first-time parents create a nurturing, healthy environment for their children. Home visits, which take place from the time of pregnancy through the child's third birthday, are designed to ensure an optimal start for children both physically and emotionally.

The program, made possible by the generous support of private donors and public funds, was founded in 1999 by three organizations — Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency and United Way of Greater Cincinnati. Since then, it has served more than 13,700 families through more than 268,000 home visits. Sixteen local agencies provide the home visits, adhering to program, training and evaluation standards established by Cincinnati Children's, where our offices are located.

Every Child Succeeds is making a tremendous impact. Perhaps the most compelling evidence is that infant mortality rates for program participants is less than one-third of the Hamilton County infant mortality rate.
