Our Clients

Every Child Succeeds is regional program designed to ensure an optimal start for children.

Families who participate in Every Child Succeeds share one important goal: to provide a healthy home that will help their child  learn and grow.  Their commitment to be good parents is a key ingredient to their success and the success of Every Child Succeeds. We believe that all of these women want to be good parents, despite the many obstacles they face.

The average age of mothers at enrollment is 20 years old, with about one-third under the age of 19. Just over half are Caucasian, one-third are African American, and the rest are from other ethnic groups. Ninety-one percent are unmarried, 92 percent have a low income and 29 percent have received late, inadequate or no prenatal care.

About 75 percent have social adversities that include isolation, mental illness and substance abuse, among others; almost 70 percent have a history of violence, abuse and trauma. Providing support for women during their children's first three years of life is essential in helping them become capable, nurturing mothers and connecting them to additional resources within the community.
