Volunteers
Volunteers play a vital role at Every Child Succeeds by assembling about 1,500 parent aid bags that are distributed to families each month. These bags contain educational and useful items for both parents and infants and are based on the age of the child. The parent aid bags are important for two reasons: they help ensure program retention and they include items the mother needs for herself and her baby. One of the most popular items is a monthly board book, which is selected to be age-appropriate for the child.
Among the 15 or so organizations that donate in-kind gifts to the program are Cincinnati Bell Wireless, The Procter & Gamble Company and Time Warner Cable. Assembling these bags takes about 15 hours a month, and volunteers can serve as often as they wish, from one to four hours at a time. All of our volunteer opportunities take place Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm.
